5MB had a fabulous time recently at Leeds Art Gallery being art detectives and looking at portraits created by artist, Curtis Holder who works in graphite and coloured pencils to create large scale portraits and figurative work. Year 5 got to see the drawings close up and zoom in on them before creating their own portrait drawings working with a partner on shared paper and using coloured pencil. They had some great questions and responses when looking carefully at the large portraits. Well done 5MB!
