The Arts Council have recently asked every child to collect a small, natural object and bring it to school. This is in response to a workshop that class 6MB completed with Amanda Phillips from Leeds Art Gallery where the children looked at a sculpture entitled The Medicine Wheel by Chris Drury. These objects will be collected by the class teachers and placed in a circular shape. Each class will have their own ‘Medicine Wheel’ which will go on display in the main hall and combine to make one big piece of art for the school to enjoy. It will be really interesting to see what the children from nursery to year 6 collect. Watch this space!
