Our arts council visited Leeds Discovery Centre recently which houses the Leeds museums and gallery services artefacts. They were blown away by the variety of artefacts that are housed there. They had a guided tour of the store room which holds hundreds of thousands of artefacts from all across the world. They got to ask lots of questions and see how carefully the artefacts are kept and catalogued. They got to enjoy an art workshop in the education room. They were very impressed at the collections and have ideas for how we can use the centre and the artefacts to enhance the art curriculum and learning back at school.
