Long Term Plan

Clapgate’s Curriculum

The aim of our school curriculum is to inspire young minds!

At Clapgate we research, debate, and share the best ways to engage, motivate, and inspire our children, and consider different teaching approaches to help children develop the skills and attitudes encapsulated in our mission and values.

We believe in the concept of lifelong learning and the idea that both adults and children learn new things every day. We believe that learning should be a rewarding and enjoyable experience for everyone; it should be fun. We are dedicated to providing a broad and rich curriculum that provides an exciting and enriching context for learning. Through our creative teaching, we aim to equip children with the skills, knowledge, and understanding necessary to be able to live as well-rounded individuals who are able to lead happy and rewarding lives.

A long-term plan has been created by our staff to cover each teaching phase. This long-term plan works alongside the National Curriculum and the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework, detailing a full coverage of subjects and has been planned to facilitate a broad and balanced curriculum.
