Shout Out

See what our school community says about us

Our children love the outdoor learning sessions and share so much of their learning at home. The break in classroom activities makes a huge difference to their day.
Parent of Child
My daughter Milly, Year 6 ,enjoys outdoor learning. Outdoor learning has a positive impact on her, she wakes up with excitement, she’s keen to learn and share what she has learnt with us at home.

One of the main reasons we chose Clapgate Primary School was its strong commitment to placing children’s wellbeing at the centre of its approach. The outdoor learning days reflect this philosophy perfectly. Spending time learning outside supports children’s mental and emotional wellbeing, helps them develop confidence and resilience, and allows them to engage with learning in a more natural and balanced way. For us, these days are not an extra activity, but an essential part of what makes Clapgate such a positive and nurturing environment for children.
Parent of Child
One of the main reasons we chose this school for our son was the outdoor learning you do with the children. He absolutely loves been outside and he will tell us what he has been doing on the days his class go outside weather its on a walk of the local environment, looking after the animals or exploring the outdoor area of the school.
Parent of a Child
Outdoor learning making my kid physically and mentally stronger. It's helpful to learn how to play as teamwork and increasing social learning.
Parent of Child
I am proud that our school gives our children the opportunities to have outdoor learning which builds vital life skills and experiences unlike traditional classroom lessons.
Parent of Child
I just wanted to say how much my child has enjoyed her first week at wrap around care this week. She absolutely loves it and I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all involved! 😊 Thank You

The best thing about Clapgate is the range of extra-curricular lessons and activities the children are currently enjoying. For example: going to the campfire, seeing and interacting with Rufus, tending to the allotments and caring for the chickens.

You can talk to teachers about problems with your child and they will offer support and help out the best they can. I would recommend any parents to send their children to Clapgate. The teachers are so helpful and if there is a problem with your child, it is dealt with quickly.

The teachers are by far are they beating heart of this school. They understand my child's strengths and weakness and deliver learning to accelerate her. Work is tailored for my child and she has progressed extensively. She is confident in her work and always wants to do her best for herself and her teachers. I honestly cannot praise the teachers enough. They are amazing and know my girls so well, that they feel comfortable enough thrive.
